WVU to hold Mid-Semester Help Center for struggling students

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University will bring several student support units together shortly after midterm grades are released to help struggling students get back on track.

The Mid-Semester Help Center will be held on Monday, Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Mountainlair, and from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Student Recreation Center.

“The Mid-Semester time frame is a critical point for student success at WVU,” said Regan Bruni, coordinator of student retention. “I strongly encourage students to take advantage of this opportunity to get all the help they need in one location.”

At the help center, students can add or drop classes, speak with a financial aid counselor, meet with an advisor from the Undergraduate Academic Services Center and receive tutoring.

Students can also speak to representatives from the Carruth Center of Counseling and Psychological Services, Office of Disability Services, Career Services Center, among others.
