With Mountaineer football just around the corner, the West Virginia University Alumni Association is gearing up for home pre-game events for alumni and friends of WVU .

Teaming with Texas Roadhousefor its final season of pre-game tents in Coca-Cola Tent Village at Milan Puskar Stadium, the association invites members to come together to cheer on the Gold and Blue.

Last year, we hosted thousands of alumni and friends at our pre-game hospitality tents, said Steve Douglas, the associations president and chief operating officer. This year, we hope to generate another large attendance and provide our guests a venue to come together and support our team.

Association members will receive a discount on tent passes (advanced purchases only). The cost for season passes for members is $90 ($15 per game). Nonmembers also will be able to purchase season passes to the tailgating event for $120 ($20 per game).

A limited number of walk-in tent passes will be available on game day, but with the popularity of these tailgating events growing, people are encouraged to purchase passes in advance to guarantee their spot. The pre-game events will be held for all home games except for the WVU -Auburn game (Oct. 23).

Food fare includes the ever popularTailgate-In-A-Boxfrom Texas Roadhousefeaturing an 8-ounce barbecued chicken breast sandwich, pasta salad, baked beans, chips, soda and a pepperoni roll. Water, soda and other beverages will also be provided.

Thousands of alumni attend our home and away football games each year, and we are pleased to offer a place where they can reunite with old friends and enjoy the tailgate atmosphere,Douglas said. These events are another example of our efforts to keep graduates connected and to keep the WVU network growing.

This is the last year for pre-game hospitality tents at the Coca-Cola Tent Village. The association is moving into the new alumni center this fall and plans to host pre-game activities next year. Plans for this seasons road games will be announced later.
