West Virginia University alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago are asked to mark their calendars to come home to WVU for Emeritus Club Reunion Weekend 2008 May 2-3.

The WVU Alumni Association will welcome members of the Class of 1958 to the WVU campus to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their graduation.

Emeritus Club Reunion Weekend is a chance to reminisce with old friends, as well as an opportunity to create new memories and reconnect with campus, said Ed Flowers, president of the Emeritus Club.We have some very special programs planned, and our committee has put a great deal of effort into making sure that when the graduates come home, it is a weekend to remember.

Events will include a welcome and dessert reception hosted by the WVU Foundation; continental breakfast hosted by WVU President Mike Garrison and his wife, Heather; Class of 1958 induction banquet; and guided tours of new WVU facilities, including the WVU Football Hall of Traditions.

Formal invitations will be mailed in mid-March, but those who are interested in attending this event are encouraged to contact the Waterfront Place Hotel, 304-296-1700, to make hotel reservations (a limited number of rooms have been set aside for this special celebration).

The WVU Alumni Association looks forward to seeing graduates come home to their alma mater for the 58th Annual Emeritus Club Weekend.
