Susan P. Robison has been named interim director of the West Virginia University College of Business and Economics Center for Career Development.

Robison has been involved in student affairs, career planning and placement and academic advising for more than 20 years at WVU . She was director of internships and employment at the college from 1998-2004, and in 2006 was interim director of the colleges then newly established Center for Career Development. She became associate director of the center in 2007.

In addition to managing the campus recruiting and internship programs in the center, Robison teaches professional development classes and has created job search programs and seminars.

Susan has been a mainstay of our professional development program and job and internship program in the college, and Im happy she is willing to share her experience in this leadership position,said R. Stephen Sears, College of Business and Economics Milan Puskar Dean and professor of finance.

Robison earned a bachelors degree in communication studies and a certificate in gerontology at WVU in 1991, and a masters degree in education administration with a minor in industrial relations in 1996.

The Center for Career Development was established in 2004 to prepare students for professional careers and to help them find jobs and internships. The center offers mock interviews, a Web site for resumes, alumni recruitment programs and a host of workshops and programs, including an annual business etiquette seminar
