* DETAILS :* This ceremony is in connection with National Peace OfficersMemorial Day (May 15) and National Police Week (Nov. 15-21) to remember police officers who have died over the past year and to honor all officers who put their lives on the line each day. Last year, 154 police officers throughout the country died in the line of duty.
