The first teaching luncheon of the semester will take place at Hatfield’s B in the Mountainlair from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1. WVU faculty, staff, students and the public are welcome to attend; those attending are responsible for purchasing their own lunch.

The title of the lunch program will be”Talking Leaves: Teaching Strategies from Native America.”Ellesa High, coordinator of the Native American Studies Program, and three of her students, Jane Dailey, Allison Rice and Dan Trejo, will discuss how to integrate Native American studies into classroom curricula as well as how to teach Native American students.

The teaching lunches began in the spring 2002 semester and were continued due to their popularity and success. They are co-sponsored by the Center for Women’s Studies, the Center for Black Culture and Research and the Native American Studies Program.
