The WVU Organic Research Farm will host its third annual Field Day from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Organic Research Farm located on Route 705 in Morgantown. Anyone interested in organic farming is encouraged to attend.

The Field Day will include a wagon tour of research and demonstration plots emphasizing transitional practices for growers considering converting from conventional to organic practices. Many new workshops and organic practice demonstrations are planned as well.

Gates open at 3 p.m. with the wagon tour starting at 3:30 p.m. The day concludes with a light supper at 6 p.m. Pre-registration is requested by contacting Dave Mazon at dmazon1@mix.wvu.edu . To reach the Organic Research Farm from Interstate 68, take Exit 7 and go west on Route 857, 1 mile to Route 119 (second stop light). Turn left onto Route 119 (south) for 1.5 miles. At the second stop light, turn right onto Route 705. Look for the driveway on the left (mile) for the WVU Horticulture Farm.
