Small and rural community utilities face constantly changing financial, technical, managerial and regulatory issues. And now water system security is in the spot light.

The National Environmental Training Center for Small Communities (NETCSC) Fourth Annual Institute will be held at West Virginia University’s Mountainlair in Morgantown July 29-Aug.1, 2003.

According to MaryAlice Dunn, NETCSC Institute program manager, sessions include security, emergency response planning, and assessing wastewater options. Participants can attend training about upcoming regulations or learn how to manage a small community water system.

NETCSC training is geared toward communities with fewer than 10,000 residents. Attendees can attend individual sessions or the entire four-day Institute:”Protecting Public Health: Water and Wastewater Solutions for a New Era.”
