Business owners, government experts and educators will share their knowledge of nutrition, health, agriculture, computers, financial management and youth development Thursday, July 24, during the West Virginia Poultry Association’s Festival of Ideas at Moorefield Middle School.

Workshops on gardening, healthy eating, osteoporosis, computer purchases, Spanish culture, character education and proper investment strategies will be featured.

Session leaders include: Richard Zimmerman, West Virginia University Extension Service specialist; Sherry Musser, health and fitness expert; Judy Matlick, WVU Jefferson County Extension agent; Robert Merrill, computer shop owner; Margaret Miltenberger, WVU Mineral County Extension agent; Patricia Miller, WVU Extension safety and health specialist; Kelly Hicks, WVU Hampshire County Extension agent; Yvonne Rowland, financial consultant; Kay Davis, WVU Greenbrier County Extension agent; and Rose Sullivan, West Virginia Department of Natural Resources.

The festival is part of a week-long list of activities occurring in connection with WVPA ’s annual convention. Other events include 4-H and Future Farmers of America poultry and egg judging, educational sessions on raising poultry and achievement award ceremonies.

Registration fee for the festival is $10 and due by July 9 with checks made payable to the WVPA . Membership in the WVPA is not required to attend the festival.
