  • Holocaust reading Members of the WVU and Morgantown communities will remember victims of the Holocaust April 23-24 in front of the Mountainlair. Yom Hashoah, or Holocaust Martyrs’and Heroes’Remembrance Day, will begin at noon Wednesday, April 23, and continue uninterrupted for 24 hours. During the observance, participants will read aloud names of Holocaust victims.
  • E-poetry festival “E-Poetry 2003,”a festival combining verse and electronic technology, will be April 23-26. The festival will feature poetry readings, discussions and performances at various sites in the WVU Mountainlair and around Morgantown.   • * WVU ’s Take Our Daughters&Sons to Work Day* The Council for Women’s Concerns invites the WVU community to this year’s ninth annual Take Our Daughters&Sons to Work Day Thursday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to noon in the Mountainlair. The event starts at 8 a.m. with registration and breakfast in the Gluck Theatre for children and parents. The participants will be welcomed by Susan Hardesty before breaking into small groups for the morning’s activities.
  • JamaicaFest 2003 JamaicaFest, a special spring tailgating event, is set to take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, prior to the annual Gold-Blue Football Game at Mountaineer Field. The event is sponsored by the WVU Alumni Association and the President’s Office for Social Justice. Tickets are available beginning at 10 a.m. on a first come, first served basis.   • Gold-Blue Game The annual Gold-Blue Game, which benefits WVU Children’s Hospital, is Saturday, April 26, at Mountaineer Field. The full-contact scrimmage kicks off at 12:30 p.m. Gates open at 11:30 a.m.; following the game, members of the football team will be available for an on-field autograph session. The game broadcast will also be available via the internet at http://www.MSNsportsNET.com.
  • Spring Fest 2003 Spring Fest 2003 features the Counting Crows live in concert with special guest, Sixpence None the Richer, Saturday, April 26, at 8:30 p.m. at the Coliseum. For additional information, go tohttp://events.wvu.edu/countingcrows.
