13th Annual WVU Blue & Gold Mine Sale collecting donations

WHAT: West Virginia University’s Blue & Gold Mine Sale, an annual yard-sale-like event, will offer great deals on donated items for a good cause.

WHEN: Saturday, May 13th from 7 am to noon
             7a.m. to 8:30 a.m. ($5 admission)
             8:30 a.m. to noon (free admission)

WHERE: East Concourse of Milan Puskar Stadium

HOW:  Community members wishing to donate items May 1st-May 10th can do so at the following locations: Chateau Royale, Falling Run Rd, Seneca Center, Grant Avenue

Beginning Monday, May 1, community members and students can drop off unwanted items at any WVU residence hall as well as four (4) drop off locations around Morgantown. Acceptable items include but are not limited to furniture, clothing, appliances, décor, sporting equipment, electronics etc. Televisions and mattresses will not be accepted.

This event keeps about 30 tons of goods out of landfills annually, and all proceeds benefit the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties.

With construction complete on the East side of Milan Puskar Stadium, the sale will be in its original location this year.
